Dongjiang Lake, one of GBA tourists’ most favourites in Hunan

Recently, at the 2023 Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Investment and Trade Conference Week, as well as the “Welcome to Charming Hunan” Hunan Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference in Shenzhen, the list of “20 most favourite scenic areas in Hunan among tourists from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” was released. Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area is on the list due to its unique landscapes and rich tourism resources.
Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area is a national 5A tourist attraction and a national wetland park. It has been one of the most influential and attractive tourist destinations in southern Hunan, attracting a large number of tourists from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other cities.
According to the statistics, in 2022, Chenzhou received a total of 11.18 million tourists and achieved a comprehensive tourism revenue of 11.6 billion yuan. Among them, Dongjiang Lake received 4.47 million tourists, and Bailang Scenic Area received 2.7 million tourists.
In 2023, Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area will continue to strengthen the construction of infrastructure, improve the service quality and create more boutique tourism projects and special tourism activities, in the hope of providing tourists with a better travel experience.
