In sweltering summer, the rural water playground in Zhangshi Town of Chenzhou City is favoured by tourists, becoming their first choice to enjoy coolness and relieve summer heat. “Cool economy” continues to heat up, injecting impetus into rural tourism.
Seen from high in the sky, Wanghu Ecological Manor is surrounded by green mountains and clean water. The beautiful water playground is right near the river. Tourists are crowded in the music surf pool, swaying back and forth on the waves. In the children’s pool, all kinds of amusement facilities with cartoon decorations make a water kingdom of fairy tales. The high-sky glass rafting and water slides with different appearances allow tourists to experience the speed and coolness in the water.
This water playground is also a good place for children to play in the water for leisure during this summer vacation. To ensure the safety of visitors, life jackets, lifebuoys and other rescue equipment are available at all areas of the playground. And more than 10 rescuers are employed to ensure that tourists play at ease.
“To prevent tourists from suffering heatstroke and drowning, there are certified lifeguards on duty in different areas. In addition, all the facilities will undergo daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections to ensure safety. We have also organized a number of emergency drills to improve the staff’s ability to deal with emergencies,” said Wu Hui, general manager of Wanghu Rural Tourism Co., Ltd.
The water playground covers 20 mu (about 1.33 hectares) of land transferred from Gaotang Village of Zhangshi Town. It was jointly built by the village, the enterprise and villagers. There are such water projects as a boat tour on the lake, parent-child water park and glass rafting. At present, it can receive more than 2,000 tourists daily on average.
