2023 Hunan Cultural Tourism Industry Expo opens

The 2023 Hunan Cultural Tourism Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the expo) opened at the Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center on September 15. 

 

The expo is one of the supporting activities of the 2nd Hunan Tourism Development Conference, with the theme of “new technology, new cultural tourism, new consumption”.

It covers an exhibition area of about 60,000 square meters, with more than 1,000 exhibitors. 6 exhibition sectors including the new outdoor cultural tourism equipment exhibition area, the Chenzhou and international excellent and characteristic mineral crystal exhibition area and the new cultural tourism exhibition and experience area were set up. 
 
During the expo, colorful activities including promotion and ordering of characteristic cultural and tourism products, new equipment and new business formats were held.

Online exhibitions were also held during the expo, and external display services were provided through the mini program of the expo, Tongcheng Travel and Ctrip platforms. 
 
Li Aiwu, director of Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, introduced that the expo has been successfully held for 12 sessions. It’s gradually becoming an important exhibition window, negotiation and trading platform, and empowerment engine in the national cultural and tourism industry. 
 
This year’s expo extensively applied new technologies and equipment such as VR and CNC products, covering food, housing, transportation, travel, shopping, entertainment, and other aspects.

With larger scale, higher technological content, updated cultural and tourism formats, and more practical measures to benefit the people, it will open up new channels, bring new opportunities, and create new highlights for the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry.
 
The expo showed outstanding highlights. For example, regional cooperation in external exchanges were highlighted, and more than 100 cultural tourism enterprises from the Greater Bay Area jointly set up two characteristic exhibition areas. Hainan Province promoted and showcased new policies, projects and water tourism formats of the free trade zone. 20 immersive entertainment, small towns, night tours, and cultural tourism scenes, as well as domestic first-class technology equipment manufacturers, brands and achievements were displayed.
