Yizhang County selected among China’s top 100 counties with tourism competitiveness

Recently, the 2023 China’s County-level Tourism Competitiveness Report was released at the 2023 Exchange Meeting for High-quality Development of China’s County-level Tourism. Yizhang County in Chenzhou City made the list of China’s top 100 counties with comprehensive tourism competitiveness.
Yizhang County, provided “the road to Guangdong in the Chu Dynasty”, is now the southern gate of Hunan Province and the first city connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Hunan Province.
It currently has 1 4A level tourist attraction, 4 3A level tourist attraction, 1 provincial-level tourist resort, and 16 star-rated rural tourist areas. It’s a green and beautiful leisure destination, a Red revolutionary holly land, an ancient town and a warm hot spring place.
In recent years, Yizhang has vigorously developed itself into a strong tourism county, and constantly promoted the construction of tourism projects. The cultural tourism industry in the county shows a strong development momentum.
The county has won many honorary titles such as a national advanced unit for Red tourism, the hometown of hot springs in China, and a provincial strong tourism county. Mangshan Mountain Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area has been awarded the first barrier-free mountain tourist attraction in China.
