Hot spring tourism heats up in Yizhang County

Recently, the tourist reception of Jinxiu Hot Spring doubled, with a daily reception of 500 to 600 people, and guestrooms were also occupied every day, according to a staff of Jinxiu Hot Spring Leisure Company in Yizhang County.

In winter, many tourists choose to enjoy wellness trip in Yizhang County, and hot spring tour has become their first choice. Yiliu Town boasts a 6-square-kilometer hot spring cluster, with more than 30 hot spring wells and a daily water output of over 3,000 cubic meters. Now, there are 7 large-scale hot spring hotels and more than 2,000 employees in hot spring enterprises in the town.
 
According to statistics, the daily tourist reception has reached 4,500 people recently, and it’s expected that the annual tourist reception will reach over 300,000 people. 
 
Winter is the best time to bathe in hot springs. Especially with the recent sharp drop in temperature, Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area in Yizhang County welcomed its first rime of the year. 
 
Due to being only a dozen kilometers away from the scenic area, many tourists choose to take a bath in hot springs in Yiliu Town.

In Tanghuli Village, Yiliu Town, there is a continuous stream of tourists coming to Jinxiu Hot Spring. 
 
Because it’s close to Guangdong province, over half of the tourists who come to soak in hot springs here are from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. A tourist from Lianzhou, Guangdong Province said that this hot spring trip made her feel very relaxed. 
 
In 2023, with the opportunity of the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference hosted by Chenzhou, the county government vigorously implemented cultural tourism projects such as quality improvement of hot spring hotels. A series of products such as “hot spring plus wellness plus parent-child plus cuisine”, making the hot spring leisure industry more diversified. 
 
Hot spring leisure tour has become a “pioneer” in heating up the winter cultural tourism market. Now, Yizhang County has developed more than 130 hot spring venues. It’s expected to receive 1.2 million tourists in 2023, and achieve a comprehensive tourism revenue of 138 million yuan.
