Despite the temperature as low as 2 degrees Celsius at night, Yuhou Street still attracted many tourists to appreciate the night scenery, taste delicious food at the weekend, and take photos.

 

“When I first visited it, I thought that it had its own strengths compared to Fenghuang Ancient Town and believed that there must be market prospects, so I opened a business here on the National Day of 2023 after nearly a year of investigation,” said Hong Yiwen, the store owner.

 

Hong Yiwen is from Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Prefecture. He has been engaged in travel photography since 2008 and currently has his own travel photography stores in Fenghuang Ancient Town of Xiangxi Prefecture and Zhenyuan Ancient Town of Guizhou Province.

 

 

 

“I was the first person to open such a store here and has won many praises,” said Hong Yiwen, adding that, “During its peak business period, the store had 6 photographers, 4 makeup artists, and 2 post-production designers, with a maximum of 30 orders per day. There are currently over 200 sets of clothing, among which Hanfu is the most popular, followed by Miao and Tibetan clothing.”

 

Yuhou Street achieved great changes in 9 months in 2023. “After the Second Hunan Tourism Development Conference, there has always been many tourists on the ancient street,” he said.

 

At present, there are over 10 travel photography shops on Yuhou Street.
