In the past few days, ice and rime views appeared in such scenic spots as Tiantai Mountain of Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area. Influenced by low temperatures and wind, blooming peach blossoms were wrapped in ice, making the scenic area a snow world. 

 

A group of Southern tourists took photos here. “My family drove to Mangshan Mountain for over five hours. The snow scenes do have a calming effect, ” said a tourist from Foshan, Guangdong Province when she saw such a spectacular ice landscape for the first time. She added: “The trip to Mangshan Mountain is more cost-effective. It’s a good choice to enjoy snow in Mangshan Mountain.”

 

 

 

As spring snow tours have stimulated the enthusiasm of tourists for travel, the accommodation and catering consumption potentials around Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area have been released.

 

At the Mangshan Forest Hot Spring Hotel, more than 60 unique pools are hidden among the forests. 

 

To meet needs of the GBA tourists for snow and hot spring tours, the hotel has launched snow and hot spring theme activities. More than 400 rooms are fully occupied every day, with most tourists coming from the GBA. 

 

“While soaking in hot springs, we can appreciate the snow scenery and relax ourselves.” A tourist from Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, said that he would bring his family to experience it next year. 

 

As the southern gate of Hunan province and the first city connecting Hunan and Guangdong provinces, Yizhang County has become the backyard of tourists in the GBA. Tourists from the GBA can be seen in many scenic spots of Yizhang County.

 

 

 

Especially during the 8-day-long Spring Festival holiday this year, Mangshan Mountain increased promotion activities and launched colorful activities to attract tourists. 238,900 tourist were received by Mangshan Mountain, and 80% of them were from the GBA. 

 

“We will increase efforts to build Mangshan Mountain into a national 5A scenic spot, promote tourism resources of Mangshan Mountain to the GBA, increase marketing and promotion efforts, and create high-quality tourism routes like Mangshan Mountain plus hot springs plus drifting plus wellness,” said Chen Lixia, secretary of the local cultural tourism department of Yizhang County.
