After the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference held in Chenzhou, Hunan Chenshan Chenshui Tourism Investment and Development Co., Ltd. took over the overall operation and management of Feitian Mountain Scenic Area. The company has improved infrastructure, expanded tourism territory, developed new attractions, and restructured boutique routes through a comprehensive investigation of the current tourism industry and tourism products of Feitian Mountain.

 

“Based on the achievements of the 2nd Hunan Tourism Development Conference, we have replanned the Feitian Mountain tourism industry with the Cuijiang River Basin as the core, implemented a one ticket system for Feitian Mountain and Wayaoping, tapped the natural landscape resources of Feitian Mountain and the historical and cultural resources of Wayaoping, set up boats and bamboo rafts on the Cuijiang River to connect the Danxia village, waters, and ancient villages on both sides of the Cuijiang River, and launched three tourism routes including the mountain viewing tour, boat tour, bamboo raft tour,” said Li Jianda, chairman of the company.

 

 

The revitalized Feitian Mountain has regained the favor of tourists, and the number of visitors has increased by 30 to 40%. During the Spring Festival holiday, the scenic area received nearly 100,000 visitors, with the operating revenue of 3.6 million yuan, and the tourists flow and tourism revenue both reached historical highs during the same period.

 

“Now, the business of farmhouses around the scenic area is getting better and better. Many villagers no longer go out to work, as they can have good income by running snack stalls near the scenic area. Most of the tourists to Feitian Mountain come from the Greater Bay Area, and their positive reviews make us confident in the future development. We will plan various creative experience activities, such as kite festivals, dragon boat races, lawn music festivals, and hiking and off-road activities by integrating the characteristic resources of the Damian Isle Wetland Park, the Great Lawn of Performing Arts Center, and the Mahuangqiu Grand Canyon, so as to create a highly recognizable tourism brand for the further development of Feitian Mountain Scenic Area.
