Chinese milk vetches are blooming under peaches trees in a peach garden of Xinjiang Village, Zhoumensi Town, Zixing City, adding a bright color to the spring scenery of the village.
This natural scenery has attracted many villagers and tourists, and become a new popular attraction for photography enthusiasts and nature observers.
While vigorously developing high-altitude fruits, the village has sought to increase its collective economic income through various ways like revitalizing collective assets.
The 1,200 mu (80 hectares) of fir trees in the collective forest farm brought funds after logging, with 30% of the income used as the village’s collective operating funds and 70% owned by the villagers.
The collective forest land was developed, with 30 mu (2 hectares) planted with camellia trees and 18 mu (1.2 hectares) with snow peaches. The village collective income reached up to 200,000 yuan last year.
