At the event, an auction for the “first raft” was held, and ultimately Chenzhou Lejing International Travel Agency won it for 1 million yuan.

 

On the first rafting day, over a thousand tourists experienced it, feeling ups and downs in the deep mountains and valleys.

 

 

“In the scorching summer, I felt the coolness, speed, and passion here. Interacting with NPC characters during the rafting process greatly enhanced the experience,” said a tourist from Guangzhou.

 

“Electronic music, fireworks, and food are also prepared for tourists,” said Wang Wenlong, chairman of Mingchuan Group and Chenzhou Xiangyu Tourism Development Co., Ltd. 

 

 

In order to enrich the rafting industry, this year, the scenic area will continue to launch special live streaming sessions given by popular Internet-famous streamers such as Tang Yi and Guo Youcai, trendy electronic music, night fireworks shows, and other performances.

 

The untamed rafting river has a total length of 9.8 kilometers, with a vertical drop of 298 meters. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the whole process. The rafting project is built according to the standards of 5A-level scenic areas, and there are 1,500 6-person rafting boats. It can receive over 15,000 people per day. Along the river, there are 14 emergency escape docks and more than 150 professional raft guards. In addition, with a tourist service center of over 2,000 square meters and a super large parking lot with 1,000 parking spaces, it provides one-stop services like leisure, entertainment, and sports for tourists.

 

 

As a landmark product of summer tourism in the Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area, since its operation in 2021, Mangshan Gorge Rafting has received over 100,000 tourists from June to September each year, providing jobs for 200 people and promoting the development of tourism sales, catering, and homestay industries among surrounding villagers.
