Mangshan Mountain, located in the north of the Nanling Mountains, which is one of the southernmost snow lines in China, has a unique climate due to the intersection of cold and warm air. It’s easy to form natural landscapes such as sea of clouds and rime from November to February of next year. Since the beginning of winter, Mangshan Mountain Tourist Area has created immersive ice and snow themed tourism scenes based on ecological resources to attract tourists from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

“My child enjoyed the ice and snow themed activities in the scenic area and took many photos with the staff playing snowmen,” a tourist from Guangdong Province. They reserved a hot spring hotel for 3 days, hoping to encounter the rime landscape during their stay.

“According to the features of the mountain leisure tours at Mangshan Mountain in winter, the scenic area has improved its infrastructure and did anti-freezing and anti-slip work on walking trails to upgrade the landscape and services,” said the head of the scenic area. It also launched the theme activity of Yao people’s new year at the Mangshan Forest Hot Spring Tourism Resort, where tourists could wear Yao ethnic costumes and visit the Mangshan Hot Spring to receive gifts. This indeed enhanced the experience of tourists and further released the consumption potential of surrounding accommodation and tourism projects.

According to statistics, during the New Year holiday, 5 monitored accommodation units in the Mangshan Mountain Tourist Area achieved a bed rental rate of 96.39%. The tourists mainly came from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, accounting for 82.57% of the total.
