“Hot spring water here can be drunk and bathed, and it is rich in strontium that is good for human bodies.” Zhao Ke, general manager of Jiahe Yuzhong Hot Spring, said that Yuzhong Hot Spring has the rare strontium-rich hot springs in China, with various characteristic soaking pools, allowing tourists to relax themselves in hot springs.

 

Yuzhong Hot Spring water comes from 2,500 meters underground, with a constant temperature of 53 degrees Celsius. 

 

It’s also a part of Yuzhong Hot Spring City, one of Chenzhou’s 20 iconic cultural and tourism projects. 

 

 

It’s a 3A level scenic spot that’s equipped with such facilities as ecological park, national standard temperature controlled swimming pool, hot spring center and family hot spring water world. 

 

In recent years, relying on advantageous hot spring resources, the local government has actively organized a series of characteristic cultural tourism activities to effectively promote cultural tourism consumption, heating the tourism market up.  

 

During the New Year’s Day period, tourists from other provinces and surrounding counties and cities came to Jiahe Yuzhong Hot Spring for leisure and vacation.

 

Statistics showed that Jiahe Yuzhong Hot Spring received over 3,000 tourists on January 1. From January 1 to 6, it received over 8,000 visitors with a turnover of about 200,000 yuan. 

 

 

“Tourists who came to soak in hot springs on New Year’s Day included many from the surrounding areas of Chenzhou and Guangdong province. Yuzhong Hot Spring is located near the highway entrance, with convenient transportation and only about an hour’s drive from Chenzhou city,” Zhao Ke said.

 

Zhao Ke introduced that the scenic area is also equipped with a national standard temperature controlled swimming pool, where fun activities like water carpet competition, water volleyball and water tug of war are launched. 

 

After soaking in a hot spring, tourists can also play chess, billiards and table tennis in the leisure area, and taste delicious food like healthy tea and cakes with Jiahe characteristics.

 

For future planning, more hot spring wellness projects will be launched to promote integrated development of hot spring and other industries. It will connect with key tourist attractions, health organizations and hotels to create a multi-functional urban micro vacation experience.
