Ride a train to Mangshan Mountain

A tourism promotion meeting themed on “Ride a Train to Mangshan Mountain” was held in Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area of Yizhang County, Chenzhou City on January 9.
The China Railway Tourism Chapter (CRTC) of China Association of Travel Services signed a cooperation framework agreement with Yizhang county. The both sides will rely on special tourist trains to create railway cultural and tourism products with Chenzhou characteristics, achieve the integration of transportation and tourism services, and build new tourism consumption scenarios, injecting new vitality into the development of Chenzhou’s cultural tourism.
Located at the southern end of Yizhang county, Mangshan Mountain is known as China’s first mountain with primitive ecology and the world’s gene bank of flora and fauna. It enjoys a reputation as a stunning ecological tourist destination in South China.
Tourists can appreciate azaleas in spring, enjoy sea of clouds in summer, watch stars in autumn, see snow and rime scenery in winter. It has unique Yao culture, profound Red culture and diverse folk cultures.
In recent years, it has won honorary titles, including China’s first barrier-free mountain-type scenic area, the best mountain tourism destination and one of Hunan’s 20 popular scenic spots for tourists in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Established in 2014, CRTC consists of 18 railway tourism enterprises affiliated with China State Railway Group. and other tourism related enterprises in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.
Relying on convenient railway network, a railway tourism industry has been formed with railway tourism trains as the core product and tourism organization and service as the main business.
At the same time, efforts have been made to expand cultural tourism integration products with railway characteristics.
In recent years, CRTC has enriched special tourism train products through tourism promotion, with the number of trains run reaching a record high.
This promotion meeting aimed to deepen the cooperation between the railway department and Chenzhou City and Yizhang County through deep integration of railway plus cultural tourism, and support local tourism industry to be stronger.
Through multiple ways like special tourism trains, train naming promotion and tourism ticket package, railway and tourism enterprises are guided to gather tourism resources in Chenzhou and Yizhang to attract visitors through special tourism trains, and promote the deep integration and development of Hunan’s advantageous tourism industry and railway transportation.
