The Suxian Ridge Scenic Area will launch a mountaineering activity from January 29 to February 3 to pray for blessings and celebrate the Spring Festival.

 

 

In the Huilong Mountain Scenic Area, tourists can enjoy the sunrise, sea of clouds, and rime landscape and pray for family and friends. They can get the New Year blessing cards and blessing belts during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday by sharing their visits in the scenic area on Douyin and into WeChat Moments from January 29 to February 3, 2025.

 

On January 29 and February 2, red envelopes will be given randomly. From January 29 to 31, those wearing Hanfu and ancient costumes will enter the park free of charge. Those livestreaming on Douyin will enjoy discounts for tickets, hotels and homestay inns.

 

On January 23, the Original Music Festival will kick off at the Beihu Shuiyue Isle, with original musicians and bands in Chenzhou to be invited, to showcase a diverse range of music styles and provide audiences with an audio-visual feast. In addition to New Year must-visit spots, themed landscape, and water curtain light and shadow show at the Shuiyue Isle Square, the Snake Dance series of activities will be held from January 29 to 31, including dragon and lion dances, the God of Wealth giving red envelopes, Hanfu travel photography, operas, cultural and creative markets, and others.

 

 

The Xijian Concert will kick off at 15:30 on January 25 at the Zhiqing Rural Resort Hotel of Zhiqing Art Village. Iseason will be invited to play the magnificent music of the Chinese New Year. It was established in November 2020, with piano, orchestral music, classical guitar, and resident composition as the main sections. Its members come from excellent art schools such as China Conservatory of Music, Wuhan Conservatory of Music, Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Shenyang Conservatory of Music, etc., with high artistic accomplishment.

 

The Chenzhou Art Exhibition will be held from January 23 to February 12 at the Zhiqing Rural Resort Hotel of Zhiqing Art Village. A diversified exhibition area and interaction area will be set up to collect blessings from all over the country. Celebrities and those from the cultural and artistic circles in Chenzhou will be invited to create theme works.

 

Theme works with local characteristics across the city will be collected. All can participate in the creation to deliver the blessings of the Chinese New Year. They can watch the exhibition, make paper-cuts, do a jigsaw, and receive a gift package.

 

 

The activities of Chenzhou hot spring and wellness season will be continued during the Spring Festival holiday. Discounts for consumption as well as package tickets of hot spring and hotels will be provided. Meanwhile, various activities like Burning Incense Dragon dance performances, fireworks show, riddle guessing, door-blocking wine, and bamboo pole dance will be launched.

 

The Spring Festival Folk Culture Festival and the Yuanxiao Festival will kick off at the Yuhou Street from January 29 to February 12. The street will be decorated with the Spring Festival-themed decorations.

 

The theme scene of “Returning to the 1980s” for the Spring Festival will be set up at the 711 Time Town from January 29 to February 4, with a series of folk performances, Spring Festival goods, time party, and art toys & folk customs to be held. Tourists can immerse themselves in warm memories of the Spring Festival customs, experience the happy Spring Festival at the 711 Time Town.

 

Various China-Chic and intangible cultural heritage activities will be held at the Changjuan Historical and Cultural Commercial Block from January 29 to February 12 to celebrate the Spring Festival.

 

 

Traditional Chinese operas such as Hunan Kunqu Opera, Song and Dance Drama, Yizhang Night Stories, as well as Burning Incense Dragon Dance, dragon dance, lion dance, face changing, fire breathing, stilt walking, and fire pot performances will be presented. Disguised NPCs such as Du Fu and Han Yu will interact with tourists to allow them to experience the joy of time travel. 

 

The gods of fortune and wealth will give small gifts and offer New Year’s wishes, adding a joyful and peaceful atmosphere. Tourists will also watch shadow puppetry, experience overprinting, taste specialty snacks. 

 

Meanwhile, multiple interactive spots will be set up, such as a Chinese New Year canvas, a perpetual calendar wall, Chinese New Year couplets, red lanterns, and bubble machines.

 

Chenzhou Museum will launch special activities to celebrate the Spring Festival from January 23 to February 12. 

 

Calligraphy artists and citizens will be invited to write the character “Fu” (it means fortune) collected from Jin bamboo slips, which will showcase the traditional calligraphy of the Jin Dynasty that has been passed down for more than 1,700 years. Besides, Spring Festival couplets, Chinese knots, and “Fu” stickers will be presented to visitors. 

 

Such activities as the zodiac images exhibition, treasure hunting for cultural relics, and pottery making will be held to showcase the historical, cultural, and artistic treasures of Chenzhou. 

 

Meanwhile, tourists can experience riddle guessing and Touhu, make lanterns, and taste sweet dumplings on the Lantern Festival to enjoy the charm of traditional festival customs and feel Chenzhou’s profound cultural heritage.

 

 

Different photo spots will be set up in the Gaoyi Ridge Scenic Area from January 28 to February 4, with red light strings to be hung, New Year window decorations to be posted, and mascots to be placed, to create a romantic atmosphere for the Spring Festival. Red envelopes will be distributed to visitors who enter the park on January 29 and February 2. In addition, activities such as food festival, stamp collection, and free admission for those wearing Hanfu and COSPLAY clothing will be launched at the Cherry Blossom Garden.

 

Different characteristic activities will be held in the Feitian Mountain Scenic Area, Jiulong Water Village, and Wayaoping respectively from January 29 to February 4 through various ways like immersive performances, praying for blessings, riverside markets, and flower boats. The NPC scenes of Jiulong Water Village will be upgraded, with a warm and romantic rural courtyard to show the happy life.

 

 

Colorful activities will be held at the Dongjiang Lake Tourist Area and Dongjiang Cultural Square from January 29 to February 3, such as temple fair, Touhu, folk market, intangible cultural heritage performance, dragon and lion dances, fireworks show, molten iron fireworks show, and bonfire party.

 

The Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park will launch such activities as Yao welcome ceremony, Yao song and dance performance, God of Wealth giving red envelopes, and interactive experience of Yao traditional folk customs from January 30 to February 1.

 

The Mangshan Mountain Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area will feature rich activities like snowman kingdom, Yao praying for blessings, and ice and snow queen’s parade from January 29 to February 3.

 

 

Cultural and tourism consumption vouchers worth 200,000 yuan will be issued on the Chenxinyou mini program platform from January 28 to February 4, with 10,000 vouchers ranging from 8 yuan to 98 yuan to be given.
