The Dongjiang Bay Tourist and Leisure Block starts from the Xiaodongjiang Hydropower Station in the east, reaches the Liyujiang Hydropower Station in the west, the Lianhua Road in the north, and the Dongjiang Avenue in the south, with a total area of approximately 8.89 square kilometers. 

 

The block has convenient transportation. It’s adjacent to the Dongjiang Lake, a national 5A-level tourist attraction. There are multiple highways and national roads such as the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, Xiamen- Chengdu Expressway, and G107, as well as a number of bus routes and many taxis in the surrounding area. 

 

The block has profound culture and abundant cultural tourism resources. Tourists can take photos in the Cultural Tourism Street with purple tiles, blue bricks, and pink walls, visit the Dongjiang Immigration Museum full of historical memories to learn about the past and present of the Dongjiang Lake and the sacrifice that the relocated people have made for the lake, take a walk in the Mugenqiao Old Street to learn about the rich historical and cultural heritage of Dongjiang Lake and experience the ever-changing social changes, and listen to the morning bells and evening drums at the Shoufo Temple by the lake.

 

At night, visitors can enjoy the night view and watch night performances at the Moonlit Night on the Dongjiang Lake and stroll at the Dongjiang Cultural Square to experience the leisure atmosphere of local residents. If hungry, they can go to places like Dongjiang Bay Bar Street to taste local food, like Dongjiang fish barbecue, salmon with mustard, and Tsingtao beer.
