Some tourists flied kites in various shapes and sizes, and others strolled through the flowers and took photos to capture these beautiful moments. 

 

A tourist from Chaling County of Zhuzhou City said, “I came here mainly to see the Danxia landform. It’s amazing that such brilliant cole flowers can bloom on Danxia Mountain.”

 

There is a beautiful legend of Shennong tasting hundreds of herbs and the “Shennong Residence” at the Danxia Mountain of Dukou Township. In the exhibition hall of the scenic area, there are various sachets, pomander balls, and refrigerator stickers with Shennong elements, such as Shennong shaking medicine, drying medicine, trading herbs, stewing pig feet, refining pills, and giving blessings. The creative refrigerator stickers are inspired by Anren’s characteristic landscapes such as Rice Field Park and Xiongfeng Mountain.

 

 

“It’s hoped that tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery while bringing back the culture and memories of Danxia Mountain through these cultural and creative products. At the same time, this is also an attempt for us to promote the diversified development of the scenic area,” said Liu Weixi, deputy Party secretary of Dukou Township.

 

After years of development, the Danxia Mountain Scenic Area has become a tourist attraction where tourists can enjoy cole flowers in spring, lotus flowers in summer, chrysanthemums in autumn, and snow in winter. It was rated as a national 3A-level scenic area in 2023. 

 

 

This spring, Danxia Mountain has become the preferred destination for more and more tourists due to its unique natural scenery and rich cultural connotations.
