Yuhou Street, built in the Qin and Han dynasties, is the central part of nine streets and eighteen alleys in Chenzhou city, with a history of over 2,200 years. Yuhou Street after renovation is a comprehensive cultural and commercial pedestrian street that integrates commerce, catering, culture, art, tourism and entertainment.

 

It has won multiple honors, including a national urban central leisure area, China’s best cultural tourism project in 2020, and a provincial-level tourism and leisure block.

 

 

In 2021, when Yuhou Street was selected as a a pilot unit for the provincial characteristic demonstration pedestrian street, the city government formulated a plan to transform and upgrade the street. 

 

At present, there are more than 300 shops in Yuhou Street, including nearly 160 nighttime economic entities. These entities cover entertainment and leisure, catering, accommodation, cultural creativity, shopping and sightseeing. It is the most dynamic and popular nighttime cultural and tourism consumption gathering area in Chenzhou.
