Chenzhou draws 261,100 tourists during Qingming Festival holiday

According to the Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports, as of 14:00 on April 6 during the Qingming Festival holiday, the 32 scenic spots monitored by Hunan Cultural and Tourism Statistics Platform in the city received 261,100 tourists and achieved a revenue of 16.6579 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58.47% and 58.75% respectively.

The 11 cultural service units in the city monitored had a total of 28,100 visitors, up 14.77% year on year. The 28 accommodation units monitored drew 15,100 tourists, with a revenue of 4.6219 million yuan, an increase of 11% and 13.68% year on year respectively. The occupancy rate of some hotels and homestay inns, such as Chenzhou Omiga Hotel and Buran Homestay Inn, reached 100%.
 
Cultural departments in the city carried out a series of activities to commemorate the martyrs during the Qingming Festival holiday. The Chenzhou Library, together with the Chenzhou Retired Cadres University, launched the Red study activity. More than 100 people from all walks of life paid tribute to the martyrs and expressed their grief in different ways like offering flower baskets, singing poetry, and promoting the Red books.
 
The Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Hall, with Suya Middle School and the Third Primary School, carried out the Qingming-themed activity. More than 980 teachers and students participated in the commemoration ceremony, visited the theme exhibition, and wrote a reply to the past 1928.

Short distance travel became the preferred choice during the holiday. People travelled for offering sacrifices, visiting relatives, and going on outings. 
 
The Jiulao Peak Scenic Area in Jiahe County is known as a “leisure paradise, birthplace of agricultural culture, the third Buddhist land in Jiangnan, experience area of folk culture, and demonstration area of ecological integration”. It received a total of 26,700 visitors, skyrocketing 258.51% year on year. 
 
The Xiyao Lyugu National Forest Park, with blooming cherry blossoms and ecological boardwalks, received 28,600 visitors. 
 
The Suxian Ridge Tourist Area drew 12,500 tourists and achieved a revenue of 126,700 yuan, surging 122.67% and 339.23% year on year respectively. 
 
The number of tourists received by Jiulong River Scenic Area, Hunan Baoshan Industrial and Mining Tourism Scenic Area, Banliang Ancient Village in Yongxing County, Guiyang Cultural Park, and Eagle Outdoor Tourism Area increased by 326.97%, 191.67%, 164.78%, 149.64%, and 146.67% year on year respectively.
 
Chenzhou has improved a number of nighttime economic consumption areas and historical and cultural blocks, and enriched nighttime economic products such as night tours, night markets, night shows, and night exhibitions, to enhance the reputation of Chenzhou’s nighttime economy. Beihu Ever-bright, Yuhou Street, and Dongjiang Bay received a total of 31,800, 35,000, and 27,200 visitors respectively during the holiday, a year-on-year increase of 29.07%, 13.4%, and 20.78% severally.
 
A versatile cyber robot has provided intelligent ticket checking, interaction, navigation service and patrols in the Mangshan Mountain Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area Since March 28. On the first day, it sparked discussions among tourists, which was praised as a new benchmark in the field of culture and tourism.
 
At the same time, Chenzhou has accelerated the cultural tourism industrial upgrading through low-altitude economy. On March 31, the first low-altitude cultural tourism route Beihu Airport-Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park was opened, achieving a 30-minute direct travel and providing core support for building the first low-altitude cultural tourism city in China.
