Leiyi Expressway Opens to Public Both-way

It was reported that after 5 months hardworking, the maintenance project of Leiyi expressway (a part of Jinggang’ao expressway from Dapu to Yizhang of Hunan province) has been finished recently and was reopened to public both-way.

 

When reporters arrived at Chenzhou tollgate set in Jinggang’ao expressway at 9:0 a.m. on November 8, 2013, some drivers had waited there for a little while. It was said by one of the drivers that they were learned from the news that Leiyi expressway would be opened to public on that day, so they waited there.

 

Followed with the unified order issued by Hunan Provincial Ministry of Transportation and Hunan Provincial Traffic Police Corps, all the roadblocks of east part of the expressway were removed at 10:30 a.m. on November 8, 2013. It indicated that Leiyi expressway was reopened to public both-way.

 

The maintenance project of Leiyi expressway (a part of Jinggang’ao expressway from Dapu to Yizhang of Hunan province) was divided to two sections as Tanlei and Leiyi section with 64.896kms and 135.372kms respectively. The key workings concerned for this project were maintenance and renovation of the main lines, ramps, lanes of service centers, protection and drainage work, bridges, safety facilities, communication, toll gates, monitoring system, etc.

 

The maintenance project was launched in this May. Till the end of this project, no casualty, no accident and no complaint happened during the construction period.

 

It was introduced by the principal of Chenzhou Management Office of Hunan Provincial Expressway Administration Bureau that the traffic condition was upgraded greatly after the maintenance project, no matter road capacity, traffic safety condition, comfort, or convenience for further maintenance.

 

It was also stated by the principal that many valuable experience was accumulated on the process of this maintenance, which would be useful for future similar projects.

 

Some Hunan provincial leaders and Chenzhou municipal leaders attended relative activities.
