2024-11-06

Recently, 38 enterprises were selected as the first batch of A-level land port enterprises in China. And Chenzhou International Land Port Development Company was approved as a 3A-level land port enterprise.

In April of this year, Chenzhou Land Port received the international port code “CNCNZ” by the UN/CEFACT, marking that it was included into the global shipping and international trade system.

It has also cooperated with COSCO Shipping to operate  sea-rail intermodal boutique routes with a through bill of lading from four ports in Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania to Chenzhou.

In early August, Chenzhou Land Port has launched a new model of Nigeria-Chenzhou sea-rail intermodal transport service with a through bill of lading. It’s also the first sea-rail intermodal import business transaction with a through bill of lading in Hunan province.

The Shaoyang-Chenzhou-Hong Kong channel under the model of Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme (SELS) was launched for the first time in early September, laying a solid foundation for building a provincial SELS gathering center.

In early October, Chenzhou was successfully approved as the second production service-oriented national logistics hub in the province (as of 2023, there are only 25 ones in China).

This will effectively obtain support from the country to reduce logistics costs in Chenzhou and attract more top logistics enterprises to settle in Chenzhou.
Based on the advantages of the land port hub, a support system with three land port industries will be built in Chenzhou, which includes international logistics, international trade, and several port-vicinity industries.

At present, 10 port-vicinity industrial projects are under construction, including the International Nonferrous Metals Distribution and Trading Center, Chenzhou Steel Distribution and Trading Center, and Xiangnan Import and Export Cold Chain Food Distribution and Distribution Center.

In mid to late October, two leading enterprises in the industry, China Storage & Transport and CRM Supply Chain Technology Group, visited Chenzhou Land Port to explore cooperation opportunities in areas such as multimodal transport, non-ferrous metal supply chain system, and futures delivery.

Next, Chenzhou Land Port will continue to promote channel expansion, cost reduction, platform construction, and opening up, seeking to improve the logistics hub level, promote high-quality development of the logistics industry, optimize the port business environment to facilitate cross-border trade, and significantly enhance the agglomeration capacity of foreign trade forms in inland areas.
