The opening ceremony of 2013 Jiahe Xiaojia Rural Tourism Festival was held on March 22, 2013 in the modern agro-ecological park of Xiaojia town. Splendid sakura, gorgeous performance, intense mountain bicycle racing, hot square dance competition, delightful photography exhibition, delicious local flavor snack, and etc. were attracted thousands of visitors gathered here to enjoy themselves well.

The main purpose for this tourism festival which was entitled with the theme of “romantic sakura, elegant village” was for the further promotion of modern ecological leisure agriculture and ecological tourism industry in Jiahe county.

It was the first rural tourism festival held by Jiahe county. Concerned for the main site- Huijing modern agro-ecological park was the biggest sakura and green bayberry planting base in Hunan province. It was a comprehensive agricultural development project with the function of seedlings sightseeing, fruit picking, ecological farming, leisure rural tourism, outdoor extending, science and education, etc.. The park was consisted with 17 featured rare seedlings parks and 6 leisure entertainment zones.

In recent year, a rapid and sound development of society and economy was reached by Jiahe county party committee and government which fully promoted the construction of urban & rural integration demonstration county. At the meantime, Xiaojia town of Jiahe county played a full role of its advantage on ecological economy to promote its development.
