Brief introduction: Mount Mang is with the best reserved subtropical original secondary forests and evergreen broad-leaved forest of the world, as well as most representative one. There are over 150 peaks over 1000meters above sea level available there. The highest one which is called Mengkengshi is 1902meters and honored as “the first peak of south China”. More than 1700 species of botany and 300 species of vertebrate are also available there, which favored it with the honor of “national museum of flora and fauna” and “biological gene base”. It is a national natural reserve and 4A national tourism resort approved by the State Council. Mount Mang Trimeresurusmu-crosqumatus which is famous as “panda of the snake” is enrolled into “endangered” species list of the red directory by the World Conservation Union. The azalea of Mount Mang is also famous nationwide and worldwide for its rich species, and long blossoming period.
