Emperor Yi Mausoleum

Brief introduction: Emperor Yi Mausoleum is located in Wenhua road of Chenzhou urban area. It was recorded that in October, 205BC, Emperor Yi was killed in Chenxian by his opponents. He was buried in southwest of Chenzhou city and his tomb is Emperor Yi Mausoleum. From Han Dynasty, this tomb was well reserved by local people. The stele of Emperor Yi which was dated to Northern Song Dynasty was also kept in the tomb. Emperor Yi’s moving to Chenzhou well showed the historical culture of the city and highly proved its history of over 2200 years.
