Li Yaping, head of Tongda Runjia Planting Farmer’s Professional Cooperative in Jiahe County, said that this year, the cooperative planted 5,260 mu (350.67 hectares) of cotton, with agricultural mechanization throughout the process from planting, sowing, fertilizing, and field management to harvesting. 

 

 

To save cost, improve efficiency, and seek green development in cotton production, the cooperative has transferred 7,600 mu (506.67 hectares) of land, and continuously optimized agricultural machinery and equipment.

 

 

This year, the county’s agriculture and rural affairs bureau has made plans and actions in advance, guiding farmers to choose excellent varieties in the early stage, organizing agricultural technicians to have face-to-face exchanges with farmers on water and fertilizer management, disease and pest control in different seasons of cotton growth, to continuously improve farmers' agricultural management level and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of cotton yield and quality.
