On April 19, 2017, Yi Pengfei- Director of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of Chenzhou Municipal People’s Congress investigated the preparation work of CMGS. Yi stated that more attention should be paid on the details and planning work. The preparation work should be promoted more fluently, especially on the construction of Mineral Gem Industrial Park, improving it to be the top level trading platform of mineral gem industry and characteristic mineral gem town with the functions of processing, trading, viewing, and traveling.

It was learned that the opening ceremony of this CMGS would be held on Chenzhou Sports Center. Yi Pengfei investigated the construction site of the opening ceremony. Currently, all relative preparation work was ready. Over 5000 audience can enjoy the ceremony there. Yi said more attention should be paid on the details, such as budget, allocation of working staffs, safety, and order of the ceremony.

Yi Pengfei presented some comments on the design of Chenzhou Stand when he visited Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center. Till now, more than 100 foreign exhibitors from 50 countries as USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Russia, and etc. have booked the stands, as well as 350 domestic exhibitors. All the stands were booked out. The construction work concerned for the stands of cities and autonomous prefectures can be started before May 8, 2017. Yi Pengfei emphasized that normal trading network of mineral gems and mineral resources should be established based on the excellent platform of CMGS. Some relative industries as trading of mineral gem, logistics, auction, and etc. should be improved as well for promoting the development of mineral gem industrial chain.

When Yi arrived at the CMGS Park of Shizhuyuan, workers were busy with the construction work. The place where was used to be a barren mountain was being developed to be an exhibition center of characteristic minerals and stones. Yi said the park should be further upgraded to be a delicate mineral gem exhibition park.

Yi investigated the selection work of Mineral Gem Industrial Park of Chenzhou High-tech Zone afterward and held a symposium with relative principals of Amer Group. Yi emphasized that all departments should pay special attention on the planning of the park and try best to improve its preparation work. Specified responsibility mechanism should be figured to make sure the planning to be worked out sooner based on Chenzhou City’s practical situation. The planning should be more scientific with specified orientation and division for different counties. The processing work of mineral gem industry should be gathered in industrial park and the characteristic small town with the functions of processing, trading, viewing and travelling should be improved on the basis of the park. More favorable policies should be worked out on improving the development of mineral gem industry, such as the rules of mineral gem industrial park and characteristic small town. Better services should be provided for the mineral gem industry, mineral gem industrial park, and characteristic small town, and etc., which was purposely to improve the development of industrial cluster.
