Hunan province county economy working conference, the first south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer trade fair, Luoxiao mountainous areas’ development and poverty alleviation working conference, south Hunan overall well-off construction working conference, Hunan socialism new rural construction working conference, 2014 China Hunan tourism industry expo, and etc. were held in Chenzhou in recent years. Chenzhou became a hot city to undertake Hunan provincial and regional conferences. At the meantime, Hunan government approved Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center as the permanent site for annual south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer trade fair.

From Oct.30-31, 2014, Hunan province industrial parks working conference was held in Chenzhou city as well. “Chenzhou city’s rapid economic and social development fixed the whole province’s eyes on it.” “Chenzhou effect” became a hot topic for the representatives came to attend the working conference from other cities and autonomous prefectures of Hunan province.

“Many conference were selected to be held in Chenzhou city, which indicated that a lot of good experiences gained by Chenzhou city were helpful for the promotion of Hunan province and generated ‘Chenzhou effect’.” said Du Jiahao- Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hunan Province. Du just laid down his speech draft and addressed his comments on the conference impromptu.

Du also stated one of the examples to all the attendants that last August, Hu Chunhua- member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Zhu Xiaodan- Deputy Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province led a delegation to visit Hunan province, when they saw the great changes and development of Chenzhou city, they asked Shaoguan city which is adjacent to Chenzhou city to learn from Chenzhou city to accelerate its development speed.
“It does not say Chenzhou city did a better job than Shaoguan city. Actually, Shaoguan city is with better advantages than ours. It just indicated that along with the efforts of cadres and the masses of Chenzhou city, Chenzhou city caught up with it.”objectively analyzed by Du. “One of the reasons for Chenzhou city’s rapid development is for its location advantage on being adjacent to Guangdong province. But that is just an objective factor for this location advantage is always here, not just happens in recent years. So the more significant subjective reason is that Chenzhou city took active actions to play the best role of the advantages and gain outstanding results.”

Du stated at the end: “Chenzhou city suffered with national shocked corruption crime years ago. A batch of cadres were involved into it. Such scandal made all other cadres and Chenzhou people cannot concentrate their attention to handle their work. But Chenzhou city recovered from it with years’ efforts and form a sound situation to promote the development. ”
