It was learned from Chenzhou Commerce Bureau that Chenzhou enterprises achieved a great improvement in international trade in the first 8 months of 2012. Among them, five reached over 100 million dollars, three over 50 million dollars, and seven over more than 10 million dollars. The total trade volume of 15 firms amounted to 966 million dollars, which took up 82% of total international trade revenue of Chenzhou city.

The total volume of international trade increases greatly

From January to August, the total volume of Chenzhou international trade hit 1.17 billion dollars, which fulfilled 61.81% annual target with 42.51% increase (Hunan province, up 4.13% and China, up 6.2%). Among them, there are 596 million USD for export with 39.44% increase (Hunan province up 13.11%, China up 7.1%), and 578 million USD for import with 45.82% increase (Hunan province down 4.96%, China up 5.1%).

Concerning the achievements, the greatest one is for the processing international trade amounting to 610 million dollars, increased by 237.55%, which fulfilled the annual task 4 months ahead of time. This part of volume accounts for 51.98% of Chenzhou total international trade volume, ranking first in Hunan province for its percentage of the trade.
Now, there are 92 trade enterprises available in Chenzhou city. Compared with last year, there are 18 firms more. The private foreign trade firms take much more proportion on this business with the percent of 76.0%, while foreign capital owned firms took up 20.05%, but both gained the increase of 46.70% and 78.64% separately.

White silver keeps the largest amount of international trade

The total white silver export volume hit 226.1 tons with 244 million dollars, up 40.22%, which takes up 40.87% of the total trade volume. The white silver kept the largest amount among Chenzhou foreign trade businesses.
Meanwhile, the high technology product and mechanical & electrical product exportation gained double-digit increase of 26.25% and 10.66% separately. The high technology products amounted to 109 million dollars, which accounts for 18.35% of the total export volume, while mechanical & electrical products reached 70 million dollars, taking up 8.57% of the total.
