It was learned from Chenzhou Economy and Information Committee that from January to April, the added value of some strategic emerging industries as pharmaceuticals, electronic information, equipment manufacturing and etc. were with the increase of 32.6%, 44.1% and 45.1% respectively. The growth rate of high degree processing industry was 28.6% which was 43.5% higher than last year. All the data indicated that Chenzhou city’s strategic emerging industry was improved well in the first 4 months.

According to the results showed by the investigation handled out by the committee, the total sales revenue of the two representative strategic emerging enterprises of Chenzhou city- Hualei Photoelectric and Jushen Electronics was estimated to be amounted to 700million yuan and 800million yuan separately in the first four months of 2014.

Furthermore, the output value of high-tech in the industrial parks of Chenzhou city was up to 22.21billion yuan with an increase of 33.6%. 439 scaled industrial enterprises were available in the parks, including 11 new ones. The added value of the scaled industry in the parks covered 58.5% of the total of Chenzhou city which was 4.1% higher than last year.

As reminded in the analysis report issued by the committee, though the strategic emerging industries as pharmaceuticals, electronic information, equipment manufacturing and etc. were improved well in Chenzhou city in 2014, no industrial cluster was formed there. The key products were still on the upstream of the industrial chain, lacking of defined processing, industrial aggregation effect and anti-risk capacity.

It was stated by the principal of the committee that Chenzhou city should pay more attention on the cultivation of key high-tech industrial cluster and on guiding more elements as land and resource to be used for new energy, new material, environmental protection and some other strategic emerging industries. It was purposely to establish series high-tech products with proprietary intellectual property rights to promote Chenzhou city’s transformation and upgrading of industrial economy in higher level basis.
