It was purposely to upgrade the city’s level and enrich people’s spiritual and cultural life

It was reported that Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City took a special investigation for the development of Chenzhou city’s cultural tourism and required that it should be promoted rapidly to upgrade the city’s level and enrich people’s spiritual and cultural life.

In order to upgrade the level of landscape and expand the effect of brands, Suxianling and Wanhuayan were planned to combine together to establish a national 5A landscape. The main body of Hunan Kunqu opera center has been finished and was on the process of decoration and the preparation of supporting facilities. It was estimated to be placed to operation before the end of this October. Qu Hai investigated the northern slope of Suxianling, the unexplored areas around Wanhuayan caverns, and Hunan Kunqu opera center to learn more details concerned for the landscapes’roads construction, ecological environment protection, expansion and upgrading and the progress of Hunan Kunqu opera center construction.

Qu Hai stated the establishment of national 5A landscape of Suxianling-Wanhuayan and Hunan Kunqu opera center project were the new contents, new connotations and new highlights for Chenzhou city’s cultural tourism. All the departments should work together to promote it. High level designing should be figured out to handle balance attention on development and protection. The planning for national 5A landscape of Suxianling-Wanhuayan should be carried out with planning of urban construction, land-use, and transportation construction. It should be kept to be handled with the concept of “people’s park” . It aimed to upgrade Suxianling as a base of cultural inheritance, ecological cultural construction, mass cultural activity, leisure and fitness, and tourism, while Wanhuayan was aimed to be upgraded as a key tourism destination of Chenzhou city and popular science base of geological park. It planned to fulfill the establishment target in three years. At the meantime, more attention should be placed on the ecological cultural protection and integration of resources.
Qu Hai emphasized that all the work should be carried out scientifically. Enhanced investment attraction work should be promoted to obtain more capitals from upper level government and attract more social capitals. More cultural connotations should be discovered to upgrade the brands of Suxianling, Wanhuayan and Hunan Kunqu opera. Better management work should be handled out to upgrade both staffs and tourists level. The construction of Hunan Kunqu opera center should be accelerated to grant a better condition to citizens to enjoy the art of Hunan Kunqu opera.
