A conference for Chenzhou city’s great transportation construction and traffic work was held in Chenzhou city

It was reported that a conference for Chenzhou city’s great transportation construction and traffic work was held in Chenzhou city on March 4, 2014. It was stated on the conference that all departments should work together to fight for fulfilling all targets set for 2014 great transportation construction and creating a high level integrated transport hub city. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee delivered an important speech on the conference.

Along with years’ efforts on transportation construction, Chenzhou city’s transport condition was upgraded greatly with new pattern and characteristics. 6096kms more traffic mileages were available in Chenzhou city compared with 2008. A comprehensive transportation hub was basically formed with a “five vertical and two horizontal” railway and expressway traffic network and two economic circles of“half-an-hour drive” and “one-hour drive”. The transportation construction level was upgraded comprehensively with new transportation construction mechanisms and models, which helped to grant a sound transportation construction condition there.

Xiang Lili stated that the remarkable achievements for the three-year transportation project was for the fulfillment of “five-transforms”: transforming from ordinary traffic node to comprehensive transportation hub; transforming from flat and single transportation to comprehensive three-dimensional transportation; transforming from multilevel management to comprehensive operating management; transforming from the modernization of urban transportation to networking of rural transportation; and transforming from intrusive investment to regular investment on construction.

Xiang Lili pointed out that all departments should follow the demands of “five-transforms” to accelerate the promotion of projects construction, upgrade the level of transportation construction, figure out new transportation construction on overall development of urban and rural areas, establish comprehensive three-dimensional transportation net and form great transportation pattern of Chenzhou city with water, land and air transport facilities. All those efforts were purposely to upgrade Chenzhou city to be a high level comprehensive transportation hub city.

Xiang also stated that enhanced work should be placed on the protection and management of roads to ensure all transportation construction achievements to be consolidated well. Management, protection, overload administration, innovative maintenance mechanism, safety control and some other work should be carried out accordingly.
Xiang said stricter assessment mechanism should be kept on the process of construction. As the key concern for the fulfillment of great transportation construction, accountability system should be carried out well to ensure the stable progress of construction. Leaders and cadres of all departments should fully play their roles to serve for the construction and ensure all the assessments results to be implemented well.

Li Ping- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and First Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the conference. Zhang Aiguo- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City delivered a working report on the conference. Shou Jianzhong - Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Secretary-general of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee presented the recognition notice. Some other municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the conference as well.
