One hour can be saved from Chenzhou to Guangzhou via this new expressway

It was learned from Guangdong Traffic Group that Guangle expressway (Guangzhou-Lechang) was open to public on September 27, 2014, which would help to save one hour drive from Chenzhou to Guangzhou. Similar as Jinggangao expressway and Yilian expressway, Guangle expressway is a new arterial to connect Hunan province with the Pearl River Delta.

It was introduced that Guangle expressway is 302.6kms long with 33.342billion yuan investment, which was famous as “the first expressway of south Guangdong”. It starts from Xiaotang where is located in Chenzhou city adjacent to Guangdong province, then passes Lechang, Shaoguan, Yingde, Qingyuan, and ends in Huadu district of Guangzhou city where can connect with Guangzhou airport expressway and Zhaohua (Zhaoqing-Huadu) expressway.

Compared with Jinggangao expressway’s 4 lanes in both directions and designed speed of 80kms per hour, Guangle expressway is with much stronger capacity by 6 lanes in both directions and designed speed of 120kms per hour. It was introduced by the principal of Guangdong Traffic Group that one hour can be saved if driving via Guangle expressway from Chenzhou city to Guangzhou city.

It was learned that the fees for the principal line of Guangle expressway is 0.6yuan/ standard vehicle kilometer. On this point, the total charges for 1-5 class cars are 161yuan, 242yuan, 322yuan, 484yuan and 564yuan respectively. Because of the different fees standard, 16yuan more would be charged by Guangle expressway than Jinggangao expressway.
Furthermore, due to the highest attitude of Guangle expressway is just 400meters which is much lower than Jinggangao expressway’s 800meters highest attitude level, it would be with less probability to encounter with low temperature and ice weather.
