By seriously implementing Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal conference spirits concerned for tobacco leaf product and acquisition, Suxian district paid great attention to the flue-cured tobacco production and acquisition and ensured the upgrading of the production yield and quality level of tobacco leaf. During the tobacco purchasing period, Suxian district carried out many efficient measures to make the acquisition task overfulfilled. It was reported that 23336 loads of tobacco leaves were acquitted in Suxian district, which accounted for 106% of the contract task of 22000 loads, up 115.2%.The total tobacco tax reached 5.2287 million yuan with an increase of 155% compared with last year. Average purchasing price (excluding subsidies) was 1045.2 yuan, up 21.55%. Total income of tobacco farmers amounted to 27.756 million yuan with a growth rate of 138.35%.
