At the night of September 12,2012, Zixing city of Chenzhou was in a joyful festival atmosphere, for 2012 China Hunan international tourism festival and the 2nd China Chenzhou international leisure tourism festival was launched in Dongjiang cultural square of Zixing.

Mei Kebao- Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee announced the launching ceremony and He Baoxiang- Vice-governor of Hunan Province hosted the opening ceremony. Zhu Shanzhong- Deputy Director-general of National Tourism Administration, Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Yang Guangrong- Director of Hunan Tourism Administration delivered their speeches there.

The opening ceremony site: guests from five continents gathered together on the bank of Dongjiang Lake to share the joys.

Besides Hunan provincial leaders, municipal leaders from14 Hunan administrative cities, the opening ceremony also attracted tourism principals from Beijing, Tianjing, Chongqing, Guangdong, Xinjiang, Gansu and other provinces, leaders of “red triangle”, visitors and businessmen from USA, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Russia, Korea, Taiwan, Hongkong and Macau, and journalists from more than 100 mediasas well.

Voice: promoting Hunan tourism resources with the representative of Dongjiang Lake

Zhu Zhongshan congratulated the opening ceremony on behalf of National Tourism Administration. Zhu said, with the theme of “Splendid Xiaoxiang, Happy Hunan”, this tourism festival showed Hunan graceful mountains and water tourism resources with the representative of Dongjiang Lake.This event helps the further excavation of Hunan tourism resources,displaying Hunan tourism image and promoting the rapid development of Hunan tourism.

Xiang Lili said it was a great joy that guests from five continents gathered in Chenzhou to share Chenzhou’s graceful tourism resources and splendid human culture. Chenzhou will seize the chance of holding this festival to promote Chenzhou to be a more charming and attractive tourism destination, a happy and livable city, a real “city in the forest & city of leisure”.

Yang Guangrong said this tourism festivalhad extremely vital significance for forging an international leisure and cultural tourism brand of Chenzhou and extending the popularity and fame of Hunan graceful mountains and water tourism resources, and upgrading the international level of Hunan tourism industry development. With the correct guidance of the leaders from Hunan provincial party committee, Hunan government, and National Tourism Administration, the strategic goal will be reached to build Hunan province as a strong province within 5 -10 years. Hunan tourism industry will contribute much more to the “steady growth” of Hunan province.

Highlights: international elements showed in the opening ceremony

For the first time the international elements were brought into this opening ceremony of tourism festival. The communication among hot springs, lakes and rivers highly enriched the connotation of the festival.

The communication of hot spring was that super-hot-spring circle launching ceremony named “meeting in northern latitude 25°”. Hot springs in Chenzhou, Longsheng, Tengchong, Taipei, Burma and Mexico signed the memorandum of understanding on the opening ceremony.

The alliance launching ceremony for Dongjiang Lake and Lake Geneva was settled and both the representatives of the two cities exchanged the cooperation memorandum.
Then cooperation memorandum between Rhine international committee and Hunan “two-oriented society” revolution outer bugger zone leadership coordination committee was made,displaying Hunan province to the world and fulfilling the firm boldness of “Oriental Rhine RiverDream”.

Meanwhile, “alliance ceremony for the most beautiful mountains and water in Hunan” was settled between Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan scenery and Chenzhou Dongjiang Lake, which forged a new Hunan comprehensive tourism brand of mountains and water.

After the opening ceremony, a gorgeous party was launched in the rain. Many pop stars presented audiences with shows which were full of Xiaoxiang charm, Hunan culture, Chenzhou beauty and culture connotation.
