On December 6, 2012, the conference of transportation construction promotion was held in Chenzhou city to check and solve problems on the process of constructing cities and counties.

2012 is the first year for “three-year plan of transportation construction” in Chenzhou. 11.38 billion yuan transportation construction investment has been fulfilled in Chenzhou city till this November, ranking the top place among other cities of Hunan province. The annual investment of Xiarong, Hengwu and Ruyue express way achieved 7.108 billion yuan. Xiarong and Hengwu express way is about to open to the public soon. The preparatory work of another two express ways of Guining and Linlian are promoted well under current situation. Some continued projects of main roads have completed 309 million yuan investments with 197kms of road surface construction. 20 out of the 23 main road projects with 408kms listed in the “twelfth-five year plan” have been finished or nearly finished and the construction drawing designs and 17 of those projects with 265kms have started the construction, fulfilling 1.236 billion annual investments and ranking the first place of Hunan province on the work schedule of project preparatory work. The construction of rural road construction has been overfulfilled with 511kms of road surfaces, about 153% of the assessment target of provincial and municipal level. Furthermore, Chenzhou city firstly carried out the greening project of main roads in Hunan province. Till now, 2334kms of this project has turned out to be qualified. Chenzhou city also carried out the lighting project firstly in Hunan province. 371kms national main roads and 666kms rural roads benefited from this lighting project.

Shou Jianzhong- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou city stressed on the conference that all the departments should grasp the key point with great efforts to finish the preparatory work procedures, accelerate the progress of main road construction, carry out the reconstruction and repair work on dangerous bridges, ferry crossings, roads, etc.. What’s more, they need to work well on the greeting work of provincial transportation construction assessment, and carefully carry out the operation work of Xiarong and Hengwu expressway.
