“Connecting with expressway within half an hour for all counties” is the compulsory task for Hunan provincial traffic in the period of “twelfth five-year plan”. In order to check the implementation of the construction for Guidong County’s transportation, the reporters took a trial travel from Guidong County downtown to Shatian town, which is the entrance of Yueru expressway. The reporters started at 9:00 a.m. on November 14, 2012 and arrived at 9:30 a.m. while the time span was just about half an hour.

Guidong County’s principal that it is practical for Guidong County to connect with the expressway within half an hour now. All the pitch road surface pavements have been completed except the junction parts of the roads, which would be finished within one week. Now the key work for the road construction is for slope strengthening and tidying up, which would be fulfilled within the end of 2012 and present a gift for the close ceremony of 18th National Congress of CPC.

According to the construction plan of Yueru expressway, Guidong section is one of the parts with 30kms long. There are 7 bridges and 1 channel in this section, which follow the standard of secondary road to be constructed with 10 meters width of road foundation and 9 meters width of road surface, and planed speed of 60kms/h.
