Lei Hailin, a race driver from Chenzhou city who attended 2013 “Wanhua International City Cup”- China Rally Championship intended to behave excellently in the hometown, but he failed because of the accident happened on June 15, 2013.
At the beginning, everything went well, Lei ranked the second place after the first round on Xifengdu and Xiaobu section. But in the second round, something wrong was for the gear. Though the staffs tried best to repair the auto, it didn’t work. Finally, Lei had to announce the quit of the competition of this day. “It was regret to quit the competition.”said Lei.
Because the championship was held in his hometown, he highly expected to behave better with this advantage. It was really unexpected to face such situation.
Lei still decided to attend the race of second day after announcing the quite of competition of the first day. The maintenance team worked hard to repair the auto urgently. To get accessories to repair the auto, Lei drove back to Linwu county where the accessories left. Till 2:00 a.m., the auto was repaired successfully.
Lei was satisfied with his behavior in the second day of competition, though failed to get the champion in his hometown.
