Chenzhou Xihe Beach Park is an important infrastructure project in Chenzhou Chengdong New Area and a part of heavy metal pollution control project in Xiangjiang River Basin, with a total investment of 100 million yuan and an area of 333,000 square meters. It is a park in the Suxian District that integrates beach, bamboo forest, cultural square, fitness, leisure and entertainment.

The project started in March 2011 and was officially completed on February 11, 2012. On March 24, Xihe Beach Park in Suxian District was officially opened to the public free of charge. It is mainly divided into beach area, bamboo forest area, leisure fitness square area and popular science plant garden area. Among them, the beach area is about 10,000 square meters, all of which are made of high-quality and pollution-free sea sand from Sanya, Hainan Province. There are adult recreation areas and children's recreation areas, which can hold beach volleyball matches and beach football matches. More than 100 kinds of green plants were planted throughout the park, and audio equipment was widely distributed, so that tourists can enjoy beautiful music everywhere.

At the same time, Suxian District has vigorously implemented the project of mountain protection and greening and the restoration of industrial and mining wasteland. The district has also integrated 22 million yuan of funds for forestry and water conservancy projects, vigorously implemented 78,000 mu of conversion of farmland to forests and afforestation projects in Shizhuyuan mining area and Manaoshan mining area, planned and constructed 46,000 mu of ecological public welfare forest, afforested 12 kilometers along the Xihe River, and planted 30,000 seedlings such as willow and oleander to enlarge the area of greening twice as much as that of the 11th Five-Year Plan.

Chenzhou Xihe Beach Park is an important place for citizens and student groups to learn creative knowledge, exercise and entertainment, which is the most distinctive leisure park in Chenzhou City. It was awarded the "National Model Prize for Residential Environment" in 2013, the "Most Beautiful Park" in Suxian District in 2014 and the "Most Beautiful Park" in Chenzhou City in 2015.
