According to the results, the annual evaluation results of ecological civilization construction in 2016 showed that Chenzhou City ranked first in the province, followed by Xiangtan and Huaihua City.

It was understood that the annual evaluation of the ecological civilization construction is carried out in accordance with the "Green Development Index System in Hunan Province" and the Green Development Index is calculated by the comprehensive index method. The green development index system includes 7 aspects of the resource utilization, environmental governance, environmental quality, ecological protection, growth quality, green life, public satisfaction and so on, with 55 evaluation indexes. Among them, the 54 indicators of the first 6 aspects were included in the calculation of the green development index, and the public satisfaction survey results were individually evaluated and analyzed.
