It was reported that “2012 Hunan- Rucheng Hot Spring and Cole Flower Festival” was held in Rushui town, Rucheng county from March 16 to 17, 2012. It was with the theme of “traveling around charming Reshui town and enjoying golden cole flowers”. It was purposely to enrich the hot spring culture and folk culture of Rucheng county and promote its development of ecological leisure tourism and popularize Rucheng county’s hot spring’s fame nationwide.

Rucheng county is with beautiful ecological environment and abundant travel resources. Rucheng county paid great attention on the development of its tourism industry in recent years and listed the travel guide strategy to cultivate tourism industry as the pillar industry of the county. Focusing on the target to establish a strong tourism county of Hunan province, Rucheng county carried out series work to promote tourism industry development forcefully. It worked hard on the upgrading from famous hot spring county to ecological tourism resort and on the construction of China’s excellent tourism county and leisure & healthy county.

Some cultural programs of folk culture performances, body painting in cole flower field, body photography, bicycle tour, etc. were handled in this festival. Over ten thousand visitors and photographers from Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi province gathered here to enjoy their spring trip there.
