Development goals:

Based on the series of "specialized and refined" deep processing products of graphite, Chenzhou City has vigorously developed high-tech and high value-added graphite products and graphene new materials, built Chenzhou into a microcrystalline graphite deep processing base with the longest industrial chain in China, and created "the capital of microcrystalline graphite in China". By 2020, the total output value of the city's graphite new material industry will reach 50 billion yuan, and it will exceed 100 billion yuan by 2025.

Key development industrial chains:

Chenzhou City has focused on building microcrystalline graphite raw ore mining and beneficiation. Medium carbon graphite (FC80 percent - 85 percent) is widely used in smelting, metallurgical casting, battery carbon rod and other industries. High carbon graphite (FC90 percent - 99 percent) is used to make graphite electrode, isostatic pressure graphite, refractory and other materials. High purity graphite (FC99.9 and above) is used to make lithium anode materials, lubricating oil additives, special nuclear graphite and microcrystalline graphene material (raw material level). Graphene is applied to graphite deep processing and new material industry chain of products (including graphene composite materials, graphene anticorrosive coating, graphene lithium electrode materials, flexible display graphene film, etc.).

Main supporting tasks:

First, build a professional park. Hunan Graphene Industrial Park will be built in Chenzhou High-tech Zone, and the primary graphite processing zone and fluorinated graphite processing zone will be built in Lutang Town of Beihu District and Baishidu Town of Yizhang County, respectively.

Second, build a good R & D platform. With the national inspection center of graphite as the core, Chenzhou City will build a public inspection platform, cooperate with colleges and universities to carry out basic research on graphite and graphene new materials; build a new research and development platform for carbon materials, promote the industrial chain development of graphite and graphene new materials; build an application demonstration research and development platform, and actively expand the application of graphene products.

Third, build a trading platform. Chenzhou will open up spot trading, futures trading and graphene application technology consulting and transfer services, focus on building commodity trading platform, warehousing and logistics platform, exhibition and Expo platform, product testing platform, science and technology innovation platform, intermediary service platform, etc., and build a graphite resource full industry chain service system with deep integration of "government, industry and university" based on the concept of "platform economy".
