On October 31, Vice Governor Xie Weijiang conducted a survey on the homestay  industry and tourism development of Zixing City. He stressed that it is necessary to scientifically plan and develop the potential to promote the high-quality development of Zixing's cultural and tourism industry. Gao Yangxian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, He Jianxiang, Vice Mayor of Chenzhou City, and Huang Zhengrong, Secretary of Zixing Municipal Party Committee, participated in the survey.

In Bailang Town and Huangcao Town, Xie Weijiang and his party went deep into homestay and had a discussion with the representatives of homestay owners to understand the development status and planning of the local homestay industry on the spot, and jointly discussed the difficulties and problems encountered in the current homestay industry development. Currently, there are 42 members of the Dongjiang Lake Homestay Association, which are distributed in the homestay community in Dongjiang street and around Dongjiang Lake, with more than 800 rooms and more than 1500 beds.

Xie Weijiang pointed out that Zixing City is rich in cultural and tourism resources. The owners of homestay have developed the homestay industry with feelings, which has enriched the tourism industry. The homestay industry has broad prospects and bright future. The whole city should practice the concept of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", make good use of local tourism resources, adhere to the industrial sentiment, improve the awareness of high-quality products, constantly enrich the supply of tourism products, and promote the personalized and characteristic development of the homestay industry. It is necessary to further improve the station position, optimize the service and make scientific planning. On the basis of ecological protection, it is necessary to promote the scientific, standardized, healthy and orderly development of the homestay industry; strive to build a concentrated development area of homestay and a national leisure and tourism resort, so as to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation, boost the revitalization of rural areas, and realize the high-quality development of local economy and society.
