The scheduling conference for the 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo was held in Chenzhou on March 12, 2015

The 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (short for the mineral expo) would be held in Chenzhou city from May 21-25, 2015. Currently, how is everything going on for the investment attraction team, construction of venues, summit forum, popularization of science, and etc.? How about the phased objectives? How about the problems and questions? It was learned from the scheduling conference of the 3rd mineral expo that all the preparation work for the expo was being handled out well and the domestic investment attraction work has been fully launched.

Till now, the investment attraction work was proceeded fluently that over 80 foreign exhibitors (including tens of famous international exhibitors) started the participation procedures. The investment attraction work for HK had been handled out from March 2-8, 2015 and the investment promotion conference had been fulfilled in Shenzhen city on March 9, 2015 that 150 stands were booked out by the city. In recent days, the investment attraction team would go to South Africa. At the meantime, domestic investment attraction team was being fully launched. The exhibitors from Guilin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chenzhou city showed hot passion on participating the expo. Some minerals and gems from foreign exhibitors were being delivered.

Concerned for the construction of venues, the design and installation for monitoring equipments of the halls of exhibition center has been started; the upgrading of greening work outside the exhibition center was estimated to be finished in the end of this April; the main body of high-tech industrial park’s non-ferrous metals museum and some supporting projects have been completed and were being proceeded to interior decoration which was estimated to be fulfilled in the end of April as well; and Shizhuyuan national mine park’s museum was being proceeded to interior decoration and supporting facilities construction which were planned to be finished in the middle of this April.

It was learned that though the preparation work was being handled out with great achievements, there were still some problems hindered on the way of construction of venues. The cargo lifts and monitoring facilities for the exhibition center were still uninstalled; and many adjustments on the decoration of high-tech industrial zone’s non-ferrous metals museum were required. According to the experience of last two times of mineral expo, security work, reception work and activities handled out on the expo were the key points to evaluate the expo. More efforts would be tried on following 5 points of“security, investment attraction, reception, activity, and propaganda”. Chenzhou city would keep trying efforts on investment attraction, construction of venues, summit forum, popularization of science, decision of 5 scientific investigation routes, formulation of mineral gem tourism routes, propaganda work, training of volunteer, and etc. to ensure the expo would be handled out successfully.

The summit forum of the 3rd mineral expo would be held on May 21, 2015 with the theme of “geological relics and international communication”. It planned to invite 6 domestic and 10 foreign academicians, experts and professors to attend the forum. Furthermore, the enrollment and training work on volunteers has been launched as well that 300 volunteers were enrolled to work for the expo.

Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee attended the scheduling conference and delivered important speech there. Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city were present at the conference.
