It was learned from the organization committee of 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show that 10 stands were booked by famous diamond merchants from Kimberley and Johannesburg of South Africa. The fine diamonds of South Africa would be exhibited and sold during the show. It was introduced that it was the first show of South Africa diamonds in the mineral show.

As introduced that some world’s top level gems, diamonds, jades, dinosaur fossils, mineral crystals, and etc. would be exhibited on the mineral show. Some of them are the most precious treasures of some geological museums and top level collectors. 11 treasures from Geological Museum of China as sinosauropteryx, confuciusornis, keichousaurus, azurite, spodumene, topaz, corundum, cassiterite, ilvaite, and etc. would be exhibited on the mineral show.

South Africa is one of the most important source areas of gems in the world. Northern Cape which is the largest province of South Africa established the sister-ship with Hunan province of China. Kimberley which is the capital of Northern Cape is famous as “city of diamond” worldwide. Currently, representatives from Chenzhou city and Kimberley city exchanged their ideas on some cooperation projects and discussed the expectations on mutual cooperation on mineral gems and other fields.
