“Please get in.” Liao Junkai- one of the taxi drivers of Chenzhou city drove to Xiangnan University and studied some daily English with the volunteers of the mineral show as usual on May 5, 2015. It is a routine schedule for most of the taxi drivers of Chenzhou city in recent days.

In order to well prepare for the 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show ( short for the mineral show) which would be held from May 21- 25, 2015, Chenzhou city tried great efforts on investment attraction, exhibition arrangement and some other preparation work of services as customs, security, catering and accommodation, travel, and etc.

Concerned for the service work, volunteers are the non-negligible ones. In the beginning of 2015, the enrollment of volunteers for the mineral show was launched in Chenzhou city. Finally, 320 students were selected out from the 20,000 registered ones after two rounds of interviews.

“All the volunteers are college students of English major.” As introduced by Zhu Lifang- Minister of Organization and Propaganda Department of Chenzhou Municipal Communist Young League, most of the volunteers are certified with TEM4 and some are even certified with TEM8.

Zhuang Shuxian who is one of the volunteers of this mineral show are experienced in the volunteer work for she was used to the volunteers of some events as “women’s basketball tournament”, “women’s volleyball world championship Asia ”, and etc.

“Security work is the priority among priorities of the mineral show, which received much concerns.” Li Haisheng- First Deputy Director of Chenzhou Public Security Bureau said to the reporters, “detailed division of security work on transportation, access control, ticket, monitoring, conservation of valuables, patrol, and etc. were figured out by the organization committee of the mineral show. Public security, armed police, traffic police and some other relative departments would coordinate together followed their specified duties.”

Till now, the procedures for entrance and exit, signs and radio recording concerned for security issues and tips have been confirmed. They strictly followed the absolutely safe standards to handle every event, every measure and every detail.

The mineral show will be opened soon, so many more gems from foreign exhibitors were delivered to Chenzhou city during this period. As introduced by the principal of Chenzhou Customs, 27 mineral gems from America, Argentina, Morocco, and other countries arrived at Chenzhou city on April 30, 2015. After passing on-site checking handled by some staffs of Chenzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Chenzhou Customs, all the gems were delivered to the customs temporary warehouse of Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center. All the cartons of gems can be opened till May 15, 2015 when all customs data cleared and the exhibitors arrived.

In order to grant the exhibitors and visitors with sound catering and accommodation condition, Chenzhou city called in principals of hotels to discuss the reception solutions. It was purposely to provide best service for the honored guests.

It was learned from the organization committee of the mineral show, free public bus service would be opened to the public and 150,000 free tickets would be issued to the public as well.
Currently, all preparation work for the mineral show is being proceeded well followed the international standards.
