How will be your felling if you are walking on avenues and lakeside paths with abundant rare and beautiful plants? If you want to know the answer, just go to Nanling Botanic Garden. After more than 8 months’ amendment and decoration, Nanling Botanic Garden is expected to open to the public on September 6, 2012.

Nanling Botanic Garden is one of the two botanic gardens in Hunan province, which is named as the “pearl of forest” and “green lung of Chenzhou city”. Now there are 1246 species with 168 plants cultivated in the garden, among which 63 are national important protective plants.

The Botanic Garden launched its upgrading project from last November 15. Six special gardens like Osmanthe garden, azalea garden, bamboo garden, Nanling sakura garden, rare plants garden, color-leaved plants garden were the key ones for the project. Meanwhile Cinnamomum hupehanum, Osmanthe and some Tsoongiodendron odorums with more than 10000 pieces were newly planted in the botanic garden.
