It was reported that the press conference for issuing of canned Tsingtao Light brand was held on November 6, 2012 in Tsingtao Beer (Chenzhou) Co., Ltd.

 

Tsingtao Light was a sports beer aimed to meet the young people’s vigorous demand. It was promoted to the market in 2008- year of Beijing Olympic Games. Compared with ordinary beer, it is with lower alcohol and caloric, but more active substances as taurine of ostracean, biologic zinc, and etc. Tsingtao Light is the first sports beer of Chinese domestic market. Because of its unique taste and young features, Tsingtao Light was well received by the consumers of Chenzhou city on its issuing to market.

 

Currently because of its lower cost and consumers’ purchasing habit, bottled beer was still in the market-leading place in beer industry, but people’s consumption concept was upgraded with the development economy and living condition. Tsingtao Light was developed and issued to the market on the basis of consumer’s changing demand and discipline of market development. Besides those, some more reasons facilitated its development as well.

 

Concerning for the world’s beer market, canned beer covers 70-80% of American market and Japan of 80-90%, but China just less than 13%. On this point, canned beer is with big potential market in China. On the basis of beer industry’s development process, it can be estimated that canned and bottled beer would share the market in China.
Concerning for the volume of bottled beer in Chinese market, it becomes smaller gradually with more varieties, while canned beer becomes bigger. Now both bottled and canned beer are with ordinary 500ml packing, which enables canned beer to compete with bottle beer with better packing condition.

 

Concerning for the safety and environment protection, canned beer is with much better advantages than bottled beer. With the upgrading of people’s consumption concept, canned beer would be more suitable for meeting their demand. On the other hand, canned beer is with better sealability to keep the good taste of beer and more portable. Besides young people, more middle-aged people are favored with this canned beer.

 

Canned Tsingtao Light is with the young features of Light brand and fashionable canned feature, so on learning its issuing news, many local merchants were enthusiasm to take the first chance to market it.
