Import and export total value increased by 152% in January

It was learned from Chenzhou office of Changsha Customs that import and export value of Chenzhou city hit $223 million in this January, accounting for 13% of Hunan provincial foreign trade. Compared with last year, the import and export total value increased by 152% which was 141% higher than the provincial rate.

Both import and export of Chenzhou were achieved fast increase and were much higher than Hunan provincial level. $112 million was reached for Chenzhou import, up 548%, while $110 million was hit for the export, up 55.3%. Total value of processing industry import & export in Chenzhou city was hit $119 million, up 230%, accounting for 52% of Chenzhou total foreign trade value and 26% of Hunan province total processing trade value- $ 445 million.

Chenzhou export processing zone is the exclusive special customs supervision area in Hunan province currently. A good start of business was achieved there as well in the January.
