On February 28, the signing ceremony of semiconductor lighting strategic cooperation framework between Chenzhou Government and Philips (China) Investment Co., Ltd. & investment agreement between Philips and Chendian Technology was held in Chenzhou city. According to the agreement, as the designated co-organizer of Chenzhou government, Chendian Technology will invest on the construction of central China joint production base with Philips in Chenzhou export processing park (high-tech industrial park) to produce LED products. At the meantime, Chenzhou government will work together with Philip to promote the street light energy saving.
Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee attended the ceremony and delivered a speech there. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City signed the contract with Wei Qianzhe- Vice CEO of Greater China of Philips.
Philips-Chendian Technology central China joint production base will be settled down and started the construction in Chenzhou high tech industrial park after the signing of agreements. It was planned to be placed to production within 2013. All LED lighting products produced there will be sold in Hunan province first and then promoted to be national wide even worldwide. On this point, the cooperation between Chenzhou government and Philips will be further extended.
Wei Qianzhe- Vice CEO of Greater China of Philips mentioned in his speech that Philips will try its best to work together with Chenzhou government to improve a more beautiful and harmonious city environment for Chenzhou people. Philip will also coordinate with Chenzhou government’s planning and strategy to improve its power of economy in Hunan province.
Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee stated that it was a win-win cooperation between Chenzhou government and Philips. With the obvious geographical, transportation, resource and market advantages, Chenzhou city becomes an important growth pole in Hunan province. Delta Electronics, Hualei Photoelectricity and some other enterprises have been settled in Chenzhou high tech industrial for many years and formed an important industrial cluster. If the deepen and comprehensive cooperation on semiconductor lighting can be reached between Chenzhou city and Philips, the industrial level and Chenzhou’s influence on this industry will be highly upgraded. Furthermore, along with the improvement of “light up Chenzhou” project which planned to light up all the villages and roads of Chenzhou within 2-3 years, a broad market will be open to Philips.
