$500 Million Total Foreign Trade Value Hit in the 1st Quarter

 

It was with an increase rate of 71.7%, ranking the third place of Hunan province

 

It was learned from Chenzhou office of Changsha Customs that in the first quarter of 2013, $500 million total foreign trade value was hit in Chenzhou city with an increase rate of 71.7%. There were $230 million import value and $ 270 millon export value, up 112.3% and 47.4% separately. It covered 10.5% of Hunan province’s total foreign trade value, ranking the third place in Hunan province which was just after Changsha city and Zhuzhou city.

 

The work on processing trade of Chenzhou city was gained good result in the first quarter with the total amount of $260 million, up 139.9%. $ 120 million of it was for export, up 267.7%, while $140 million was for import, up 87.1%. It took 24.1% of the Hunan province’s total processing trade value, ranking second place in Hunan province after Changsha city.

 

The total foreign trade value was hit $460 million by the private companies of Chenzhou city, amounting 92% of Chenzhou city’s total volume.
According to the record, Hong Kong and Peru were the two key trading partners for Chenzhou city. In the first quarter, $210 million was hit between Chenzhou city and Hongkong with an increase of 44.5%, amounting to 42% of total foreign trade value, while $12o million was hit between Chenzhou city and Peru with an increase of 153.5%, amounting to 24% of total foreign trade value.

 

Silver was the key export commodity of Chenzhou city. More key silver export enterprises of Chenzhou city handled the silver exportation businesses due to the rising price of silver in international market. According to the record, in the first quarter, the total volume of silver exportation was 168.3 tons with an increase rate of 67.5%, ranking the first place of exportation with total amount of $180 million.
