In the afternoon of July 28, 2015, the Investment Attraction Conference for the Great East Hunan Tourism Economy Cooperation Alliance was held in Guidong County. The representatives from 14 counties (cities or districts) of 5 cities as Chenzhou, Yueyang, Changsha, Zhuzhou and Hengyang gathered there to share their ideas on the development of cultural tourism in great east Hunan and they decided to accelerate the integration of regional tourism economy.

In the early of this April, the Great East Hunan Tourism Economy Cooperation Alliance was established in Hunan province, which consisted of 14 counties (cities or districts) of 5 cities along Pingru expressway. According to the data, because of the deep cultural connotation and abundant tourism resources of the great east Hunan, over 58million visitors were received by the area, contributing 48.938billion yuan comprehensive revenue. They covered 14% and 16% rate of Hunan province respectively.

On the promotion conference, the representatives from the tourism departments of the 14 counties (cities or districts) of 5 cities presented their tourism resources and brands separately. All the attendees considered that the great east Hunan area is with rich ecological resources, cultural resources and red resources and is one of the important plates for Hunan tourism. It should be followed the principal of “unified planning, unified marketing, unified branding, unified route and unified training” to accelerate its integration of regional tourism economy.
